Overview: What is Welcome Music?

«Welcome Music» is record label from Russia, founded by Arseniy Somotov (a.k.a. Digital Department) and Igor Kordyukov in January 2014. «Welcome Music» is an evolution project from «Welcome Music Promo Group». More than 60 different parties with popular musicians/DJs/producers from Europe and Russia have been organized for the last 8 years. We are currently preparing for the release of original works and remixes by a wide range of artists from around the world. There are both well-known musicians with the famous name with own history and unknown young talents as well. We search and find, we create, we promote and distribute music finds and interesting ideas!
The basis of our music format is Progressive in its highest diamond- cutting & in all of its displays! However in our opinion the complex division into different styles is a stereotype and convention. The main thing that conscious perception and understanding of Music is naturally laid down in some of us and we can do nothing about that. We just love Music and make it closer to the true listeners around the world and we just like this process a lot! We’ve got a big support for this project from our friends who have been headliners of WM’s parties, who we know in person – Michael & Levan, Dousk, Kintar, Faskil, BluSoul, Embliss, Aeron Aether, M&D Substance, Oleg Zubkov, Eryo, Abdomen Burst, Alfoa, Lokitas, Arthur Deep, Solesystem, Atrium Sun, 4Mal, Freza and others. All of them have already visited russian capital of Progressive – Yekaterinburg-city.
At the first step the classic releases with author’s original tracks and the remixes on them are waiting up for their listeners. In the future the authors’ originals albums and licensed DJ’s mixes are going to be released. All of the tracks will be available in the modern digital formats, moreover due to renewal of vinyl culture releases we also promise to experiment with them in the future! Vinyl forever!

Complete Guide: How to Submit Demos

Submitting your unreleased tracks to the A&R team at Welcome Music requires careful preparation. Record labels receive dozens of submissions daily, so presenting your demo professionally significantly increases your chances of getting noticed and signed.

1. Technical Track Preparation

• Finish Your Track Completely: Do not send unfinished loops, rough ideas, or work-in-progress clips. Only submit fully arranged, structured tracks ready for release consideration.
• Mixdown Quality: Ensure proper headroom (around -3dB to -6dB), crisp highs, and clear separation between instruments. Clean mixes grab A&R attention immediately.
• Audio Format: Use private streaming links such as SoundCloud or Box/Dropbox. Ensure tracks are downloadable if requested by the label.

2. Pitching Email Best Practices

• Personalize Your Message: Address the A&R team properly. Avoid generic template emails or mass CC/BCC sends, which are often automatically filtered out as spam.
• Include Essential Details: Briefly introduce yourself, mention 2–3 of your strongest unreleased tracks, and include your social media or Spotify artist profile links.
• Respect Privacy Settings: Always keep your SoundCloud playlist or track set to Private. Independent labels strictly prefer exclusive, unreleased music.

What Happens After You Submit Your Demo?

Once your demo is sent, the A&R (Artists and Repertoire) team evaluates the track based on musical fit, production quality, and current release schedules. Due to high submission volumes, response times can vary from a few days to several weeks.

If your track is accepted, representatives will reach out with a contract offer covering release schedules, master rights, revenue splits, and promotional plans across major streaming platforms like Beatport, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
